Last year, as the Avera Foundation inaugurated the Avera Alternative Gift Market, we featured a story on Avera colleagues responding to the needs in hurricane- wracked regions of our country. This year, the needs still exist, and the Presentation Sisters of Aberdeen are in New Orleans responding.

Avera Offers 14 New Annual Scholarships for Medical Students at The U
Medical education in South Dakota is getting a huge boost thanks to the regional Avera Health network. Medical students at the Sanford School of Medicine of The University of South Dakota are the beneficiaries of a new scholarship program resulting in $168,000 in new scholarship funds each year. These will be the largest scholarships available to students at the School of Medicine.
